Accomplished and highly knowledgeable senior level executive that brings a valuable combination of financial and operational experience to complex health care settings including large physician groups, academic medical centers, hospitals, nursing homes, and pharmaceutical & biotech companies. Significant experience as the CEO of independent physician groups, working closely with the managing physician partner and the board of directors, while also managing up to 130 providers at one time, up to 17 locations at one time, and over 20 different specialties over my career.

In my current position, I direct the daily operations for an integrated system of 135 providers in five physician offices and 12 rehab offices, overseeing a $60M annual budget, and reporting to the Physician President and Board. My focus is on development and implementation of creative solutions in response to patient needs, consistently strengthening systems, staff, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction. I establish effective processes in management of the revenue cycle, IT, facilities, accounting, HR, benefits, marketing, call center, rehab, ancillary services, credentialing, insurance, risk management, managed care, coding & compliance, and physician compensation.
As a highly collaborative executive leader and operations administrator, I implemented data-driven strategies to consistently introduce practice enhancements for a group of 14 cardiothoracic surgeons, 9 vascular surgeons, and 8 physician assistants. In total, the group had approximately 125 employees and over $23 million in revenue. The group also maintained a Vein Center, vascular interventional suite (VIS), an accredited vascular laboratory, a CT scanner, a realty company, and a holding company.
In this position, I executed strategies focused on promoting high-quality and cost-effective health care services, implementing various programs and initiatives in support of revenue growth and cost optimization for a group consisting of 14 general surgeons, a physician assistant (PA), and 40 member staff, managing over $9.0M in annual patient service revenue. I expertly executed operations for all key areas while reporting directly to the Board, and directed administration and investment strategies for the offshore malpractice firm. I also successfully developed a Vein Center business, and added two satellite offices in support of organizational expansion.
I optimized my executive leadership and financial management expertise to implement best practices to ensure efficiency and quality in patient care, and accomplished high organizational performance for a group consisting of 33 physicians and staff of 450, overseeing annual patient revenue of $65M. I directed key operations including revenue cycle, accounting, IT, facilities, managed care, ambulatory surgery center, and marketing plans, reporting directly to the CEO.
The group had approximately 80 physicians, 20 physician extenders, and 500 staff with 10 specialties and $68 million in patient service revenue.
The group had approximately 370 physicians (750 staff) organized into 15 clinical departments and an annual operating budget of $126 million including $86 million in patient service revenue.
